Team UltraLink is ON THE MAP!
Yea, I love racing my bike...in circles, w/ lots of tight corners, at dusk, on bumpy roads, with tons of college age kids screaming! Thanks Athens for having such a great race! Can you tell, I did well?? I'm very excited, I had a great day. Took 5 primes, and 5th...got into the winning break...with Katherine Carroll, Chrissy Ruiter, Iona Winters, a rider from Austin, and me...w/ 12 laps to go. It was good! Fun being in a break w/ 2 former teammates, who I know and trust! Fun making money! And now know how much I need to work on finishing!
Chrissy had a perfect move on the back side on the last lap...jumped way earlier than I expected...and I was so focused on Kat, I missed the initial jump, then lost confidence, and never got on a wheel...and ended 5th out of 5...arrggghhh, lesson learned! I've got 8 more crits to work on that!!
Shontell was 10th, 5th in the bunch sprint!! I guess 5 was our number today!! Julia worked her ass off, never surrendered, and had fun in the pack!! It was a great first race for Team UltraLink, I'm so excited about this team.....the Karma is good!!
We also had Alexis Axtrodinare doing all the managerial work, and keeping Shontell calm...she's awesome, I wish she didn't have to go back to work next week, same for Julia...we're having a great time...work smirk!
Ok, it's 12:30am...I should try to calm down! Great race Kat and Chrissy...It was awesome to be in a break w/ you guys....next time I'll give you a better run for your money in the finish...great move Chrissy!! And Kat you are an animal..you made that race, you did so much work, and won...Nice job!!

Thanks Kel! You were awesome too. Even though we had done most of the work in the break, I was most concerned about your sprint since you've spent so much time on the track lately. Nice to see an updated blog post!! ;-) Great job this weekend!
